BIOCARBON13 is back with another album, which consists of only remixes.
This eleven track album is mostly in the EBM genreThe production is pretty good and there is a good
variety of styles portrayed throughout. If you are looking for dark
tracks to play while getting ready for the club or winding down from the
club, then this album might be a good choice.
Biocarbon13 is back with another album, which consists of only remixes. This eleven track album is mostly in the EBM genre.
Opening the album is "Finland (Schultz)", which is basically an
instrumental track with spoken vocals in the background. I think they
should have opened the album with a stronger track. This track is
minimal in impact. "Swallow (Sputnik Electronic)" is a club track which
is danceable and the way the vocals are done, it sounds like a darker
version of Assemblage23's music. "Till Spring (God's Black Magic remix)"
is a slow stomping song and would be fun to dance to. I really liked
this track. "Swallow (Deimos remix)" is a slower and darker version on
the "Swallow" song, but not as impressive as the Sputnik remix. "Once
Upon A Time (Toxic13 remix by PSIN)" is a mix of club style, symphonic
and Electronica mixed together. "Finland (Suture Self)" is a very slow
and dark mix of the song. It is not danceable and is more of a sit and
listen song, probably with the lights out and candles burning. "Good To
Live (Entrzelle)" is a medium tempo, stomping club mix and has some good
synthesizer riffs and melody lines in the background. I liked the way
the vocals were done on this song. They are dark and brooding and very
Gothic in style. This is another good mix for the album.
"Once Upon A Time (Infinity Interrupt)" is slow, dark and has a lot
of crushing beats and sounds. This version, to me, is stronger than the
Toxic13 remix. "Swallow (Asmodeus X)" is a strong club mix and pumps up
the song for the dancefloor. The synthesizer riffs add a lot to this mix
and it is another strong track on the album. "FP-T6 (OWKMS)" is more of
a noise and abient track. It sounds like a space voyage soundtrack and
is somewhat cinematic with the sounds and strings playing throughout.
Towards the end, some beats are added to give it a bit more punch, but
it is still just an instrumental done in cinematic style. "UVN (Maniak)"
closes out the album and is a heavy stomping track. If you like hard
beats and tons of hits and kicks with soaring synthesizer riffs, then
you should like this track.
The album has some good remixes on it, and some of them are
danceable, but I would not expect to hear more than two of these mixes
played in the club. The production is pretty good and there is a good
variety of styles portrayed throughout. If you are looking for dark
tracks to play while getting ready for the club or winding down from the
club, then this album might be a good choice.
